Donald J. Malkowski Jr., 51, of Dunkirk passed away with his family by his side Wednesday morning (September 28, 2011) at Brooks Memorial Hospital following a lengthy illness.
He was born Aug. 29, 1960 in Dunkirk, the son of Eleonore J. (Sajdek) Malkowski of Dunkirk and the late Donald J. Malkowski.
Mr. Malkowski is the owner/operator of M & M Cleaners in Dunkirk, along with his son.
He was a member of Harvest Chapel Free Methodist Church in Fredonia.
A loving father and avid hunter, he enjoyed sports with his children and grandchildren. He especially loved riding his Harley.
Besides his mother, he is survived by his wife, Paula (Rossotto) Malkowski, whom he married May 11, 1985; twin sons, Dustin and Shane Malkowski, both of Dunkirk; stepchildren-Jamie Waclawski of Sheridan and Ronette Waclawski of Dunkirk; one brother, Kevin (Sue) Malkowski of
Fredonia; one sister, Sharon (Robert) Shomper of Abingdon, Md.; four grandchildren, Jarrett, Brooklynn, Jamie II Waclawski and Kaison Malkowski; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Monday morning at 10 o'clock in the Harvest Chapel Free Methodist Church in Fredonia. Pastor Brent Thompson will officiate. Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home.
