Burke Homes, LLC has decided to pull out of the proposed Pangolin Street Development in Dunkirk.
In a letter to Dunkirk Development Director Kory Ahlstrom, Brian Burke wrote, "I am sorry to inform you that Burke Homes February 2011 proposal to develop homes on Pangolin Street will be not be able to move forward. Unfortunately, the Home Credit Programs with New York state are not available at this time. The Burke Homes proposal was dependent upon this incentive to reduce the selling price of each lot. Without the credits and with the current economic conditions we do not feel the project is feasible at this time."
Burke wrote that should the economic climate and state programs change, they would like to revisit the project.
