Mr. and Mrs. John A. Torrance of Gowanda celebrated their 50th anniversary on Sept. 30. Sue, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald A. Campbell, also of Gowanda and Jack, the son of the late Arthur and Eva Torrance, were married in St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Gowanda.
Having previously resided in Warren, Ohio and Oxford, N.J., the Torrances moved to Gowanda in 2000. They are the parents of four children, John (Megan) of Chelsea, Mich.; Jessica (JR) of Cranberry, Pa.; Jason (Kristine) of East Haddam, Conn.; and Joshua (Jennifer) of Ellsworth, Maine. They have eight grandchildren. The family gathered at Seneca Lake in July for an early celebration.
