Krista Mickelle Nickerson and Chad Andrew Boyland were united in marriage on Saturday, Aug. 20, 2011 outdoors at the Shorewood Country Club. The Honorable Judge Stephen Cass performed the double-ring, unity sand ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Douglas and Debora Sterling of Sinclairville. The groom is the son of Donald and Martha Boyland of Sinclairville.
The bride was escorted down the aisle by her grandfather, Dan Goede. The bride wore a sweetheart neckline, princess line gown, corset tie backclosure, beading cover bodice on the hemline and train of dress. She carried a bouquet of hot pink, light pink, and white roses, hydrangeas, and stephanotis with pink satin ribbon wrap and a rhinestone collar.

Stephanie Penhollow, childhood friend of the bride, served as the bride's maid of honor. She wore an Alfred Angelo gown with a black tea-length skirt and white satin, strapless top with light pink lace and a white satin ribbon. Bridesmaids included Lori Bort, sister of the groom; Jonnie Geiger, college friend of the bride; Shawnna Emley, friend of the bride and groom. Alison Stewart served as the flower girl.
Jared Gustafson of Falconer, childhood friend of the groom, served as the best man. Groomsmen included Kyle Nickerson, brother of the bride; Todd Boyland, brother of the groom; and Mark Bort, brother-in-law of the groom. The ring bearer was Gavin Penhollow.
A reception was held at the Shorewood Country Club.
The bride is pursuing a degree in occupational therapy at JCC and will graduate in May 2012. She is employed at Brooks Memorial Hospital in the emergency department.
The groom graduated from JCC with a degree in criminal justice and Chautauqua County Sheriff's Academy. He is employed as a police officer at Lakewood-Busti Police Department, Chautauqua Institution Police Department and Chautauqua County Sheriff's Department in the court division.
A Caribbean cruise is planned in the near future.
