We sincerely appreciate the efforts of our neighbor and County Legislator Jerry Park. He has served us with hope, help and integrity.
We cannot think of one reason why he should not be re-elected as county legislator. His past experience and knowledge of his job as Legislator has taken years to develop. His experience as Chairman Planning and Economic Development speaks well of him as a leader.
When we have a good man working for us like Jerry Park we should not send him out to pasture but keep him fighting in our corner. He is a man worthy of our vote.
Newcomer wants to continue
To the voters of Villenova, I am asking for your vote on Nov. 8.
I was appointed highway superintendent this spring when the previous superintendent retired and his replacement was relieved of his duties. I talked with the highway workers before accepting the position to ensure that they would be on board with my appointment and received their approval. They have continued to work alongside me as we have gone through the inevitable transitions that come from any change of management.
I've sought advice from other superintendents and from my workers who have the most experience with Villenova roads. I would appreciate a chance to finish the work that we have started this summer and fall. I may be new to this position, but I am not inexperienced, and I am not a superintendent that runs things from behind my desk.
I am actively involved in the work of the town and I will continue to do my best to keep the town Highway Department running smoothly and to improve our roads.
