United States Navy Lieutenant Scott McFadden was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant Commander (LCDR) on Sept. 1. A promotion ceremony was held on the grounds of Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton by Commander Chad Baasen. LCDR McFadden has served in the Navy for the last 10 years and has served at the former National Naval Medical Center, United States Naval Hospital Guam, and currently at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton. McFadden also served with the 1st Medical Battalion as a Shock Trauma Platoon nurse for seven months at Forward Operating Base Dwyer and Forward Operating Base Deleram, Afghanistan, respectively. LCDR McFadden is the son of Larry and Roxanne McFadden of Portland. McFadden currently resides in Temecula, Calif., with his wife Bonnie and son Chase.
