Stacey Szocki of Fredonia and Pat Purpera Jr. of Irving were united in marriage on June 25, 2011, at 4 p.m. at Shorewood Country Club in Dunkirk. The Hon. David Prince officiated the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Michael and Christy Szocki of Fredonia, and Barbara Grady of Fredonia. The groom is the son of Pat and Barbara Purpera of Brant.
Wedding pianist was Larry Eason of West Seneca.

The bride was escorted by her father. She wore a white, strapless A-line gown, with lace and beading on the bodice, and buttons down the back. The gown had bands of lace overlaying the full skirt. She wore a chapel-length veil, and carried white garden roses and calla lilies.
The matron of honor was Carrie Ann Mueller of Wildwood, Fla., cousin of the bride. Bridesmaids included Nicole Muniz of Cary, N.C., best friend of the bride; Julie Walas of Syracuse, cousin of the bride; and Alyssa Bishop of Fredonia, step-sister of the bride. The bridal party wore black, satin, strapless tea-length gowns. Bridesmaids carried bouquets of pink hydrangeas and and garden roses. The flower girl was Natalie Muniz of Cary, N.C., daughter of the bride's best friend.
The best man was Jacob Bennett of Bradenton, Fla., best friend of the groom. Groomsmen included James DePasquale of Derby, uncle of the bride; James Wagner of San Diego, Calif., friend of the the groom; Thomas Mulnix of Angola, friend of the groom; and Matthew Szocki and Timothy Szocki of Fredonia, brothers of the bride. The ring bearer was Waylon Bifaro of Forestville, cousin of the bride.
A reception was held at Shorewood Country Club.
The bride is a graduate of Fredonia High School, SUNY Cortland and D'Youville College. She is employed by the Lake Shore Central School District.
The groom is a graduate of Emerson High School. He is employed by Buffalo Laborer's Local 210.
The couple honeymooned for a week at the Iberostar Resort in Montego Bay, Jamaica. They reside in Irving.
