Marsh Advent Memorial Recital Series to begin Wednesday

Wednesday will mark the first of the Marsh Advent Memorial Recital series at the Dunkirk Presbyterian Church, 19 W. Fourth St. The Marsh Recital Series are free, public concerts during the lunch hour. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lunch and enjoy the church's complimentary coffee along with the live music.

The concert on Wednesday features David Allen Coester. Coester is a classically trained guitarist and teacher. A native of Virginia, he spent 18 years in New York City after earning his bachelor and master music degrees in guitar performance from the Manhattan School of Music. Coester moved to Chautauqua County in 2003 and opened the MeanTone Guitar Studio where he teaches privately to students of all ages and abilities.

The free musical program is designed to provide members of the church community and the general public with an opportunity for a period of peaceful reflection and contemplation during the lunch hour at mid-week throughout the Advent season. There will be additional recitals on Dec. 14 and 21.
