SCMS Students of the Month

SILVER CREEK - Silver Creek Central Middle School announces the Students of the Month for September. The students were selected based on the following criteria: strong work ethic, dependability, helpfulness, respectfulness and cooperation with others.

The sixth-grade recipients are Mitchell Dillon and Krystel Schwab. Mitchell is the son of James and Jennifer Dillon of Silver Creek. Within school, he sings in the chorus and plays the saxophone in both band and jazz band. Outside of school, he participates on the Lakeshore Eagles youth football league. His favorite activities include spending time with family and friends, exploring the woods, riding his bike, swimming and watching television. His goal is to one day become a fifth-grade teacher.

Krystel is the daughter of Dan and Denise Schwab of Silver Creek. Within school, she sings in chorus, and is a member of the book club, the broadcast club and the Grapevine. Outside of school, her favorite activities include writing, reading, gardening, riding her bike and playing outside. She is interested in one day becoming an author and an illustrator.

The seventh-grade recipients are Zachary Bogosian and Emma Seiders. Zachary is the son of Matt and Karen Bogosian of Silver Creek. Within school, he is a member of the science and technology club and plays the guitar in jazz band. Outside of school he participates on a youth baseball league and is a member of the band Imortal. His favorite activities include camping and playing the guitar. He is interested in one day becoming a music teacher.

Emma is the daughter of Bill and Amy Seiders of Silver Creek. Within school, she sings in chorus and participates on the soccer team. Outside of school, she takes dance and cheerleading lessons at Collage Performing Arts Center and participates on a youth soccer league. Her favorite activities include dancing, playing soccer and hanging out with her friends. Her goal is to become an orthodontist.

The eighth-grade recipients are Seth Pulver and Hannah Hoffman. Seth is the son of Scott and Carol Pulver of Irving. Within school, he is a member of the broadcast club, the science and technology club, and participates on the soccer team. He also plays the trumpet for band, jazz band, and pep band. Outside of school he is a member of the youth group at Christ Chapel Wesleyan Church. His favorite activities include reading, playing video games and watching television.

Hannah is the daughter of Amy Heller of Angola and Phillip Hoffman of Maryland. Within school, she is a member of the builders club, the yearbook club and the Grapevine. She also participates on the soccer and basketball teams. Her favorite activity is reading. She is interested in one day becoming a doctor.
