Skate with
the Blue Devils

Santa and his Elf stopped by Fredonia State to skate with the young hockey players of the Northern Chautauqua County Youth Hockey Association. After the skate, the players had a chance to talk with Santa and were given candy canes.
The Fredonia State hockey team will hold its annual "Skate with the Blue Devils" on Wednesday, Jan. 4 from 6 to 7 p.m., at Steele Hall Ice Arena.
Participants will take part in hockey drills, skills, fun and games. Admission for the event is a canned good which will be donated to a local food bank.
Full equipment is required.

DHS Baseball Fundraising Comedy Night
The Dunkirk baseball fund-raising comedy night will take place Jan. 14 at the Dunkirk Moose Lodge.
Nick Siracuse will emcee the event along with Steve Burr and WGR's Greg Bouch.
Tickets are a $10 donation with a light menu available. Tickets are available at Matt's News, any elementary school, middle school and high school. They can also be purchased by contacting any varsity baseball parent or Frank Jagoda at 366-9387 or 785-4313. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., show starts at 7 p.m.
Kids' Night Out
Fredonia State's women's lacrosse and men's soccer teams will be hosting a 'Kids' Night Out' today, from 6:30-9:30 p.m., at Steele Hall.
The cost will be $10 per child and concessions, games, crafts and prized will be available.

Seeking Alumni for FHS Girls' Basketball Alumni Game
Fredonia High School will be holding an alumni game on Friday, Dec. 23, for any person who played for the girls' basketball team. Anyone interested in participating should contact girls' basketball head coach Carol Zirkle at czirkle@fcsd.wnyric.org, or at 785-0283.
All spectators are asked to donate two canned/boxed food items, which will be given to the Salvation Army to benefit local families. For those deciding not to donate the food items, there will be a $2 admission charge.
Athletes who wish to purchase an alumni shirt for $9 should contact Zirkle by today. All participants are asked to be at the gym on game day by 6:20 p.m.
