WO1 Mark Cerrie and WO1 Kevin Thaden graduated from Warrant Officer Candidate School at Ft. Rucker, Ala., on Dec. 14 after five weeks of training.
Cerrie is assigned to the 138th FiB BDE in Lexington, Ky., as the unit movement officer and works full time for the Kentucky Army National Guard JFHQ in Frankfort, Ky., as the state traffic coordinator. Cerrie is a 1982 graduate of Dunkirk High School and currently resides in Lexington. He began his career with the 127th Armor in Dunkirk and served in Iraq with the 69th Infantry 2004-05. He is the son of Salvatore and Betty Ann Cerrie, who now reside in Erie, Pa.
Thaden will remain at Ft. Rucker and train as a helicopter pilot. He joined the Army in 2006 as an infantryman and served in Iraq and Afghanistan with the 101st Screaming Eagles. Thaden graduated from Brocton High School in 2006. He is the son of James Thaden of Rochester and Penny Bane of Portland.
