Mr. and Mrs. Justin (Laura) Hyde

Laura L. Dickman of Silver Creek and Justin L. Hyde of Silver Creek were united in marriage on Sept. 24, 2011 at the Sheridan United Methodist Church. The Rev. Molly Golando officiated the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Bruce and Michelle Dickman of Lancaster. The groom is the son of Annamarie Ippolito and Robert Hyde of Dunkirk.

The bride was escorted by her father. She wore an organza, beaded lace empire dress designed by David's Bridal, with alterations done by Iris Miller, owner of New Beginnings Bridal Shop. She carried a bouquet of white roses accented by purple baby's breath.

Matron of honor was Heather S. Boyer of Dunkirk, friend of the bride. Brenda Nowicki, friend of the bride, and Laura B. Hyde, sister-in-law, were both bridesmaids. They wore floor-length sangria-colored Alfred Angelo dresses with white sashes. They carried bouquets of sangria colored daises, accented with sangria trim and white baby's breath. Flower girl was Kilee Nowicki, of Dewitt, N.Y., daughter of Travis Nowicki and Alicia Gilbert.

The best man was Scott W. Hyde of Lackawanna, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Adam L. Dickman of Lancaster, brother of the bride, and Zachary Ippolito of Dunkirk, brother of the groom. Ring bearer was James Manning Jr. of Brant, son of Susan and James Manning.

A reception was held at the Sheridan VFW Post.

The bride graduated from Lancaster Senior High School and Fredonia State University with a bachelor's degree in criminal justice, minoring in psychology. She is a CSR employed with Community Bank, N.A. on Vineyard Drive in Dunkirk, and is currently enrolled in online college courses through the Center of Financial Training.

The groom graduated from Dunkirk High school and the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Academy. He is a United States Navy Veteran. He has worked as a police officer in the Village of Gowanda and court officer for the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Department, and now he is a full-time police officer for the Village of Silver Creek, where the couple is currently residing.

A honeymoon followed in Las Vegas.
