Epiphany Tea to highlight mission trip

January 21, 2012
The OBSERVER

Epiphany Tea, hosted by Trinity Episcopal Church, ECW, will be held Sunday, Jan. 29, at 2 p.m. The event will highlight the mission trip of Hannah Marie Jonus, granddaughter of Alice and the late Vic Jonus, and her mother this past fall to Addis Ababa, Ethiopia to help with the worldwide organization known as Mending Kids. This organization provides life-changing surgical care to children around the world. They do surgeries for congenital heart defects, orthopedic abnormalities, severe scoliosis and significant facial deformities.

As the speakers were unable to be present in person, the group will be watching a short DVD they made of their experiences. Thanks to the technology of Skype, those in attendance will be able to communicate with them directly before and after the showing. A large screen will be provided so all may see Hannah and her mom, Dian, address the audience and answer questions.

All are welcome to join in for this enlightening presentation and discover the good works of this group. The Epiphany Tea will be held at Garland Hall, located in the back of Trinity Episcopal Church, 11 Day St. in Fredonia.
