OLEAN - Free tax help is available for senior citizens. Sponsored by AARP, RSVP and the IRS, TCE (Tax Counseling for the Elderly) provides free tax assistance to older individuals in the community. Trained volunteers will help prepare state and federal income tax returns.

This year, Cattaraugus County Department of the Aging will be offering counseling at the following locations:
Cattaraugus Free Library, 21 Main St., Cattaraugus, Wednesdays - 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.. Feb. 8 through April 1.
Salamanca Public Library, 155 Wildwood Ave., Salamanca, Thursdays 1:15 to 6 p.m., Feb. 9 through April 5.
Appointments are required. When coming in for the appointment, seniors are asked to bring the following (as applicable): a copy of last year's tax return; W-2 forms; 1099 forms; information on deductions, credits, sales of stock, etc.; real estate tax receipts.
