Five accused of holding illegal
parties at church, Boy Scout camp
ARKWRIGHT - Five people have been accused of holding illegal parties at a church and Boy Scout camp, which damaged the facility.
According to the Chau-tauqua County Sheriff's Department, Ariana Jaquith, 20 of Swan Street Dunkirk; Christopher Thompson, 19, of Eisenhower Road, Angola; Arian Barek, 20, of Jackson Street, Irving; Benjamin Gibson, 21, of Center Street, Forestville; and Anthony Firman, 23, of Walnut Street, Forestville, have all been charged with trespassing/criminal mischief, following an investigation.
Deputies were called to the Holy Family Church/-Boy Scout Camp on Mead-ows Road in Arkwright on Jan. 7 around midnight after an authorized party had taking place. Further investigation showed the camp had allegedly been broken into in December and had been used to hold several parties. Extensive damage was done to the camp facilities.
Lost child claim unfounded
MAYVILLE - Rumors have been circulating through the area of an incident of a missing child, who disappeared after the Chautauqua Lake basketball game Tuesday night.
Chautauqua County Sheriff Joseph Gerace put a stop to the rumors, saying the claim was completely unfounded, in a phone interview Wednesday.
Gerace said a young girl reported a child she was watching had gone missing in the restrooms during the game. He said after a thorough investigation and reviewing the security tapes, it was found that the report was completely unfounded.
"It just didn't happen," Gerace said.
No charges were filed as a result of the incident.

Nathaniel Hollins, 21, of Lake Shore Drive East was charged with third-degree criminal tampering on Jan. 21 from a previous charge.
Frankie Figueroa-Delvalle, 21, of Main Street was charged with having a loud exhaust and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle on Jan. 21.
John Esquilin, 26, of Lincoln Avenue was charged with unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and failure to stop at a stop sign on Jan. 21.
Ashley M. Nicholson, 24, of North Ocelot Street was charged with second-degree harassment and resisting arrest on Jan. 22.
Zachary G. Woodfield, 25, of Dewittville was charged with having no inspection on Jan. 22.
Jessie M. Melendez, 26, of Swan Street was charged with excessive window tint on Jan. 22.
Jorge Manuel Negron-Velazquez, 28, of South Gazelle Street was charged with speed not reasonable and prudent, two counts of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and excessive window tint on Jan. 22.
Shane M. Parker, 20, of Milton, Pa., was charged with not wearing a seat belt and having no insurance on Jan. 22.
James B. Duman, 19, of Hazelton, Pa., was charged with having excessive window tint on Jan. 22.
Angel O. Pierluissi, 24, of Pangolin Street was charged with not wearing a seat belt, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle and having no insurance Jan. 22.
Twain Buchanan-Scott, no age listed, of West Second Street was charged with second-degree harassment on Jan. 23 from a bench warrant.
John E. Lupino, 63, of South Ocelot Street was charged with having an uninspected motor vehicle on Jan. 23.
Richard G. McArthur, 36, of Main Street, Sliver Creek was charged with having an uninspected motor vehicle on Jan. 23.

Stephanie D. Lockett, 28, of Jamestown was charged with excessive window tint, having an uninspected motor vehicle and unlawful possession of marijuana on Jan. 29.
Andrea M. Jusko, 36, of South Roberts Road was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated on Jan. 30.
Lance C. Johnson, 25, of Seel Street was charged with driving while intoxicated per se on Jan. 30.
Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office
FREWSBURG - A Frewsburg man is in custody following an investigation. Jonathan P. Wiltsie, 30, was charged with second-degree sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child. Police allege Wiltsie had an encounter with a 13-year-old female where he touched the female in a sexual manner without consent. Child Protective Services of Chautauqua County re-ceived a report regarding the incident after it had happened. CPS forwarded the information to the Chau-tauqua County Sheriff's Office. After a brief joint investigation, Wiltsie was taken into custody on an arrest warrant without incident at the residence he was staying at. Wiltsie was arraigned in Town of Carroll Court and committed to the Chautauqua County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash or $2,000 property bond.
