Fredonia Police Department
Donielle Buchanan-Willis, 17, of Park Avenue, Dunkirk was charged with petit larceny on Jan. 27. Police were called to Walmart after Willis allegedly stole two boxes of hair dye from the store and did not pay for the merchandise. She was released on an appearance ticket.
Three individuals were charged following an incident at Walmart on Jan. 27. Allissa M. Stevens, 20, of Irving, Harley B. Jimerson, 22, of Irving and Tyler A. Jimerson, 17, of Irving were charged with petit larceny after a report from Walmart where the individuals were using knives to cut merchandise out of packages. Stevens allegedly stole $43.15 worth of merchandise; Tyler allegedly stole $77.45 worth of merchandise; and Harley allegedly stole $162.45 of merchandise. Both Jimerson males were also found to be in possession of marijuana and charged with unlawful possession of marijuana. Stevens was released on an appearance ticket while the two males were released on $250 bail.
Christopher Gregory Brown, 21, of Wisteria Drive was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Brown was taken into custody on Jan. 28 at 1:51 a.m. for being disorderly on Water Street in the village. As he was taken into custody, a bag of cocaine fell to the ground. He was released on $250 cash bail.
Jayson M. Zipp, 19, of Eagle Street, Forestville was charged with unlawful possession of alcohol under 21 on Jan. 28. Police observed Zipp standing behind 79 Water St. in a parking lot holding a bottle of beer. He was released on an appearance ticket.
Travis M. Vanens, 21, of Lambert Avenue was charged with second-degree harassment on Jan. 28. Vanens allegedly struck a female in the head and pushed her to the ground on Jan. 19. An arrest warrant was issued for Vanens and he turned himself into Fredonia Police. He was released on an appearance ticket.
Aaron D. Labbe, 20, of Green Street was charged with unlawful possession of marijuana on Jan. 28. Police observed Labbe traveling on Eagle Street without headlights at 12:20 a.m. The car was pulled over and police observed marijuana in the car. He was released on an appearance ticket.
Michael L. Rizzo, 47, of Portland was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief on Jan. 28. Rizzo allegedly broke a reflector off a fire hydrant on Water Street. He was released on an appearance ticket.
Brady M. Aults, 21, of Lake Avenue, Brocton was charged with unlawful possession of a marijuana and weapon discharge on Jan. 27. Aults allegedly discharged a flare gun on Water Street at 11:51 p.m. When investigating the matter, police found Aults to be in possession of marijuana. He was released on $100 cash bail.
Emily Gendron, 18, of Nixon Hall, SUNY Fredonia was charged with having an open container on Jan. 28. At 1:41 a.m. police was observed in the east municipal parking lot holding an open beer bottle. She was released on an appearance ticket.
John J. Beiter, 18, of Chautauqua Hall, SUNY Fredonia was charged with violating the sewer ordinance and unlawful possession of alcohol under 21. Police observed Beiter standing on the sidewalk in front of Sunny's on Water Street urinating. Beiter was also in possession of a Mountain Dew bottle which contained alcohol. He was released on an appearance ticket.
Evan J. Vanepps, 23, of Day Street was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, speed not reasonable and prudent and an equipment violation on Jan. 29. At 1 a.m. police observed Vanepps driving down Central Avenue with one headlight and speeding. Once pulled over, it was found Vanepps' license was suspended. He was held on $350 bail.
Westfield Police Department
Early Sunday morning, Bray Antolick, 21, of 36 Canadaway Street in Fredonia was charged with driving while intoxicated, failure to keep right, and crossing hazard markings.
Officers stopped the vehicle Antolick was driving on West Main Street for reportedly crossing the center lines and hazard lines of the roadway. It was reported that Antolick was intoxicated.
He is to appear in Westfield Village Court on a later date.
Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office
SHERMAN - A 14-year-old Sherman youth was charged with burglary after 'Something Unique,' a business in Sherman, reported money missing from the cash register without forced entry in December and January.
The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office conducted an investigation and the 14-year-old was identified from surveillance tapes.
The youth was issued a ticket for third-degree burglary to appear in Family Court at a later date.
SHERMAN - Donald J. Brenyas, 48, of Sherman, was charged Thursday with driving while intoxicated, DWI with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or higher, unlicensed operator and failure to use a turn signal after he was stopped on Kendrick Street. He was issued tickets and will appear in the Town of Sherman Court at a later date.
JAMESTOWN - Sandra Aponte, 57, of Jamestown, was charged Thursday with first-degree offering false instrument for filing, fourth-degree welfare fraud and misuse of food stamps after she allegedly received benefits for a granddaughter and failed to report to the Department of Social Services that the granddaughter did not reside with her. This allowed Aponte to receive $1,908 in benefits she was not entitled to have. She was issued tickets and will appear in the City of Jamestown Court at a later date.
