Chautauqua County Court
MAYVILLE - District Attorney David W. Foley announced the following pleas and sentences in Chautauqua County Court:
- Jacob H. Tunison, 22, of Westfield, was sentenced to 1 to 3 years in state prison for aggravated cruelty to animals concurrent with 1 year in prison for torturing or injuring animals.
- Mark J. Eppinger, 31, of Mayville, was sentenced to 1 year in jail, one year ignition interlock system and one year driver's license revocation for felony driving while intoxicated (DWI) consecutive to 1 year in jail for a second count of felony DWI.
- Adam M. Nordine, 28, of North Collins, was sentenced to 5 years probation and 60 months ignition interlock system for felony aggravated DWI with a child.
- Ajaye W. Pattison, 28, of Jamestown, was sentenced to 3 years probation for fourth-degree criminal mischief.
- Robert J. Russo, 38, of Frewsburg, was sentenced to 1 year conditional discharge with restitution for two counts of petit larceny.
Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office
HANOVER - A Hanover man has been charged with seven counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
The Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office reported Chad A. Ellis, 31, of Hanover, was allegedly inappropriately texting with a 14-year-old female. The texts were numerous and sexual in nature over a two-month period.
Ellis will appear in the Town of Hanover Court at a later date. The investigation is ongoing.
Lisa Rhoades, 48, of South Roberts Road in Dunkirk, was charged Tuesday with petit larceny and fraudulent receipt of benefits after she allegedly failed to report to the Department of Social Services that she was employed. This allowed Rhoades to receive $541 in food stamp benefits she was not entitled to have. She was issued tickets and will appear in the City of Jamestown Court at a later date.
Ricardo Maldonado, 32, of Dunkirk, was taken into custody Sunday on a warrant for second-degree possession of a forged instrument.
He was featured on the Chautauqua County Most Wanted List.
Westfield Police
Joseph Johnson, 28, of Washington Street was charged on a bench warrant on Jan. 31. At 1:47 a.m., Westfield Police were on patrol on Holt Street when they observed a subject who they allegedly knew to have an outstanding warrant.
Police placed Johnson in custody and he was remanded to Chautauqua County Jail on $300 bail. Johnson will appear in the Village of Westfield Court at a later date.
Jeremy P. Kane, 31, of Kinney Street, Brocton was charged with driving while intoxicated and failure to keep right on Feb. 1.
At 2:28 a.m., a Westfield police officer was patrolling on Academy Street in the village of Westfield. The officer observed a vehicle traveling southbound on Academy Street allegedly cross the center yellow lines of the roadway multiple times.
Upon further investigation, it was found that Kane was allegedly intoxicated. He was released on an appearance ticket for the Village of Westfield Court.
