Boy's name released in deadly accident

JAMESTOWN - Investi-gators from the Jamestown Police Department have released the name of the 11-year-old boy who died after a car-pedestrian accident on Wednesday.

Quinn Ortiz was struck near North Main and 12th streets in Jamestown around 4 p.m. after he entered the street between two parked vehicles. He was transported to WCA Hospital where he died as a result of the injuries sustained.

Collision leads to charges

Ramon Tejadaborrome, 23, of Lake Shore Drive East was charged with following too closely on Feb. 3.

A vehicle driven by Megan Piazza, 23, of Seymour Street, Fredonia was stopped on Fourth Street when it was rear ended by Tejadaborrome.

Dunkirk Police

Carmelo Torres, 21, of South Martin Street was charged with fourth-degree conspiracy, second-degree burglary, fourth-degree grand larceny, third-degree criminal mischief and petit larceny on Jan. 30.

Luis A. Torres, 30, of Buffalo was charged with fourth-degree conspiracy and criminal trespassing on Jan. 30.

Pedro A. Corraliza, 43, of Lake Shore Drive East was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief on Jan. 31.

Pedro A. Corraliza, 43, of Deer Street was charged with speed unreasonable and prudent, failure to stop at a stop sign and speeding on Jan. 31.

Cody W. McCool, 20, of Lord Street was charged with having no tail lights and no insurance on Jan. 31.

Christopher G. Brown, 21, of Wisteria Drive, Fredonia was charged with violation of probation on Feb. 1.

David J. Duenas, 21, of Concorde Drive, Fredonia was charged with having no inspection, no insurance and no license on Feb. 1.

Charles E. Eckerdt III, 29, of Lord Street was charged with having no lights on Feb. 2.

Benjamin M. Cole, 18, of South Pangolin Street was charged with trespassing on Feb. 2.

Stephanie P. Soule, 27, of South Roberts Road was charged with having no brake lights and no license on Feb. 2.

Kathleen D. Lang, 45, of Smith Street, Brocton was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated on Feb. 3.

Martin J. Wisniewski, 37, of Nevins Street was charged with second-degree burglary and second-degree menacing on Feb. 3.

Rolando Colon, 28, of Mullet Street was charged with failure to register as a sex offender on Feb. 3.

Elizabeth A. Heald, 28, of Webster Road, Fredonia was charged with having no headlights and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle on Feb. 3.

Adam R. Jessie, 21, of Leming Street was charged with second-degree harassment on Feb. 3.

Melinda J. Johnson, 24, of Lake Shore Drive East was charged with violation of the noise ordinance on Feb. 3.

Rene V. Sanchez, 41, of Grant Avenue was charged with disorderly conduct on Feb. 4. from a previous charge.

Brian M. Haase, 18, of North Ocelot Street was charged with second-degree menacing and third-degree assault on Feb. 4.

Jason E. Schnars, 38, of Park Avenue was charged with third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle on Feb. 5.

Felix A. Beras, 38, of Franklin Avenue was charged with out of class and inadequate exhaust on Feb. 5.

Paula J. Lawton, 42, of Buffalo Street, Gowanda was charged with driving while intoxicated, having no turn signal and having an open container in a motor vehicle on Feb. 6.

Luis C. Fernandez, 29, of South Main Street was charged with second-degree harassment on Feb. 7.

Dustin E. Achtziger, 21, of Derby was charged with passing in a no passing zone on Feb. 7.

Scott E. Harris, no age listed, of Cassadaga was charged with having no inspection on Feb. 7.

Silver Creek Village Court

Erin M. Goodwin, 28, of Franklin Ave, Dunkirk, was arraigned on aggravated unlicensed operation, no inspection, plate violation, no insurance, suspended registration, and unlicensed driver. She was remanded to Chautauqua County Jail and returns to court March 7.

Landon H. Lashomb, 27, of Irving, had his charge of leaving the scene of an accident dismissed.

Three 17-year-old Silver Creek boys pleaded guilty to curfew violations and were each fined $50.
