A Dunkirk man has been charged on an arrest warrant. Ramon J. Feliciano, 17, of Middle Road was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance on Feb. 9.
The Dunkirk Police Department patrol division located and arrested Feliciano on an outstanding warrant from the City of Dunkirk Court. The arrest was made without incident. The warrant had been issued by Dunkirk City Court Judge Drag.
The charges, both Class B felonies stem from information provided by members of the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force. It is alleged that Feliciano has sold quantities of crack cocaine to agents of the task force in the city of Dunkirk.
Feliciano was transported to the City of Dunkirk Jail pending his arraignment and then remanded to the Chautauqua County Jail pending further action of the court.
The Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force is comprised of officers from the City of Dunkirk Police Department, Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office and the City of Jamestown Police Department.
Authorities are requesting that anyone who observes narcotics-related activity in their community to call either your local police or the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force.
Fredonia Police
Shaunn L. Boyd, 32, of Leopard Street, Dunkirk was taken into custody on Jan. 31 He was arrested by Dunkirk Police on an active arrest warrant. He was remanded to Chautauqua County Jail.
Edward A. Wood, 42, of Felton Road, Westfield was charged with petit larceny on Feb. 1. Wood allegedly stole $38.34 worth of merchandise from Walmart and fled the premises once confronted by employees. Fredonia Police were able to locate Wood on Route 20 near Clinton Avenue. He was released on cash bail.
Gregory Johnson, 23, of Temple Street was charged with having a suspended registration on Feb. 1. The license plate reader alerted police to Johnson's vehicle. It was found his registration was suspended due to an insurance lapse on Dec. 28. He was released on an appearance ticket.
Bradley S. Eichelberger, 21, of Wisteria Drive turned himself in to Fredonia Police on Feb. 2. He was wanted on an active warrant. He was released on an appearance ticket.
Kevin H. Heron, 19, of Hendrix Hall, SUNY Fredonia and Christopher M. Izzo, 20, of Hendrix Hall, SUNY Fredonia were both charged with unlawful possession of marijuana on Feb. 2. A vehicle was stopped for failure to stop at a stop sign on Temple Street and Brigham Road. The officer could smell marijuana coming from the vehicle as he approached the vehicle driven by Heron. Both were released on an appearance ticket.
Miller B. Barmasse, 19, and Kathryn J. Brandt, 19, both of Igoe Hall, SUNY Fredonia were both charged with unlawful possession of alcohol under 21 and having an open container on Feb. 3. Police observed the two walking on Temple Street with a paper bag and unknown aluminum can which turned out to be alcohol. Both were released on an appearance ticket.
Ralph J. Dolce, 45, of Lake Avenue, Brocton was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a BAC of .08 or more, driving while intoxicated, failure to yield the right of way on Feb. 3. Dolce struck another vehicle at 11:15 p.m. in front of Walmart on Route 60. A vehicle was pulling into Walmart and was struck on the driver's side by Dolce. Dolce was found to have beer in his pocket. He failed field sobriety tests. His BAC was .11. He was released on his own recognizance.
Arthur V. Trifilo, 19, of East Amherst was charged with having an open container, littering and unlawful possession of alcohol under 21 on Feb. 5. He was seen dropping a bottle on Center Street in the village. It was found that the bottle contained wine. He was released on $100 bail.
Kevin S. Pauley, 22, of Holland was charged with disorderly conduct on Feb. 5. At 1 a.m. Pauley was highly intoxicated and screaming a derogatory term in front of 24 Water St. He was warned by police to stop or he would be arrested. Thirteen minutes later, Pauley was continually screaming. He was arrested and held on $100 bail.
Westfield Police
Four individuals have been charged with criminal possession of a weapon following a traffic stop in the village. On Wednesday at 2:57 a.m., police were on patrol on East Main Street when they observed a vehicle make an unsafe lane change. Upon further investigation, four tasers were recovered from the vehicle upon being pulled over. The following individuals were charged: Jeremy S. Hancock, 29; Melissa L. Strange, 40; Christopher Hulsey, 32; and Korey S. Mitchell, 21. All individuals were from Tennessee. All are scheduled to appear in the Village of Westfield Court at a later date.
Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office
Shaun I. Ellison, 30, of Lodi Street, Forestville was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and third-degree criminal trespass on Feb. 9. At 6:30 p.m. Sheriff deputies arrested Ellison on an arrest warrant that was issued in the town of Arkwright. He was arraigned in Arkwright Town Court and later released to appear back in court next month.
Jennifer L. Cambria, 25, of Dunkirk, was charged Sunday with driving while intoxicated common law, DWI per se with a blood alcohol content of .08 percent or higher and a stopping violation after she was stopped on East Main Street in the village of Fredonia. She was issued tickets and will appear in the Village of Fredonia Court at a later date.
JAMESTOWN - Amanda Bianco, 30, of Jamestown, was charged Tuesday with third-degree welfare fraud and misuse of food stamps after she allegedly failed to report to the Department of Social Services that the father of her children was employed. This allowed Bianco to receive $7,347 in benefits she was not entitled to have. She was issued tickets and will appear in the City of Jamestown Court at a later date.
State Police at Fredonia
On Wednesday at about 8 p.m. troopers charged Darryl L. Sanders, 36, of East 2nd St., Jamestown for unlawful possession of marijuana.
Troopers stopped the vehicle Sanders was a passenger in on State Route 60 in the Town of Pomfret for no lit plate lamps. Reportedly, Sanders was in possession of a marijuana cigarette located on the floor of the vehicle in plain view. He reportedly admitted to the trooper that the marijuana was his.
He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Pomfret Court on Feb. 14.
State Police at Jamestown
FREWSBURG - On Tuesday, Thomas Hagberg, 44, of Frewsburg was charged with driving while intoxicated.
A trooper attempted to stop an all terrain vehicle for driving on Ivory Road, but Hagberg reportedly drove away and sped into the woods. He was located soon after and reportedly failed several field sobriety tests.
Hagberg was transported to state police barracks in Jamestown where the breath sample he provided was reported to be .14 percent.
Hagberg was processed, issued tickets for the Town of Carroll Court and released to a sober individual.
ELLICOTT - On Friday, Michael Thompson, 23, of Falconer was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Thompson was the driver of a vehicle pulled over for a reported traffic violation. The trooper who made the stop reportedly smelled marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle. Thompson reportedly turned over a bag containing 10 grams of marijuana. The trooper searched the vehicle and reported finding a switch blade knife.
Thompson was transported to state police barracks in Jamestown where he was processed, issued appearance tickets and released. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Ellicott Court later this month.
