Good plan rejected 30 years ago

The OBSERVER

Editor, OBSERVER:

On Saturday, I read that our county executive is planning a meeting to consolidate the townships, villages, and the county Department of Public Works. Thirty years ago, the townships came up with a plan to do just that. It was a good plan and the county turned it down.

I would suggest the executive contact the Chautauqua County town and village Highway Superintendents Association and ask to look at all the paper work.
