CHEEKTOWAGA - The Silver Creek Black Knights were crowned the Class D Champion's on Friday at the Section 6 finals at Thruway Lanes.
The Black Knights rolled a 4,390 to edge out rival Forestville. The Lady Hornets were the runner ups with a 4,380.
In Class C, Fredonia took second place with a 4,695, behind Tonawanda at 4,722.
Overall, the Lady Hillbillies finished 11th while Gowanda finished 14th with a 4,607 and Dunkirk took 24th with a 4,428. Silver Creek placed 25th followed by Forestville. Southwestern combined for a 4,104 for 33rd place and Frewsburg finished 40th with a 3,830.
Niagara Falls was the Class A champs with a 4,958 and North Tonawanda followed at 4,932. Williamsville South shot a 4,871 to take Class B and Maryvale followed with a 4,846.
The All-Section team is comprised of Ashley Fries (Kenmore West), Leah Wacienga (West Seneca East), Haley Carroll (Williamsville South), Tricia Kent (Williamsville South), Melanie Hannon (Maryvale) and Hannah Mosher (North Tonawanda).
