Plans made for Lent services

February 18, 2012
The OBSERVER

Lent will be observed at St. John the Baptist (Episcopal) Church with several different activities.

On Sunday, a pancake breakfast will be served after the 11 a.m. service. A free will offering will be accepted with the net profits being used for an outreach program.

On Ash Wednesday, two services will be held, one at 11 a.m. and one at 7 p.m. Both services include Holy Communion and the Imposition of Ashes.

On six Tuesdays in Lent, from 7 to 8 p.m., a Bible Study, "Bible 101," will be presented. This will give those attending both an opportunity to hear more about the Bible and to learn how the Bible affects daily lives.

Sunday services will be held at the usual time, 7 and 11 a.m.

St. John's is located on the corners of West Fourth and Lark streets in Dunkirk.

The public is invited and welcome to join in all events.
