BROCTON - The Brocton Teachers' Association announces its selections for Student of the Month for January.
The middle school honoree is eighth-grader Peter Dolce, son of James and Michele Dolce of Brocton. He is a high honor roll student and received the seventh-grade Spanish award for the highest average.
Outside of class, he enjoys archery, fishing, hunting and traveling with his family. His favorite subject is math.
The high school honoree is senior Jackie Delcamp, daughter of Edwin Delcamp and Julie Hafner of Brocton. She is an extremely hard worker who plans to graduate with an advanced Regents diploma in June.
In the fall of 2011, Delcamp was one of two students chosen to attend a leadership launch program set up by Senator Catharine Young held at Jamestown Business College.
Outside of school, she enjoys hunting with her dad, riding four-wheelers and going on walks. She plans to attend Jamestown Community College in September to receive an associate's degree in liberal arts and then transfer to a four-year college to complete her education. Her future plans are uncertain but will involve a career in the science field.
