Twenty years ago - 1992
The new pediatric offices of Dr. Rajiv C. Parikh, located at 1134 Central Ave., Dunkirk are designed to provide young patients with the latest in medical care in a non-threatening setting. One of the unique features of the office is separate waiting rooms for sick and well children. The building was designed by architect and interior designer Nalini Parikh of Boston, Dr. Parikh's sister-in-law.
Thirty years ago - 1982
Honored student Susan M. Criscione, daughter of Peter and Janet Criscione of 763 Washington Ave., Dunkirk has been named Student of the Week at Dunkirk High School. She is a cheerleader, member of National Honor Society, yearbook staff, class historian and an OBSERVER sports writer.
Forty years ago - 1972
Fifty-year members of Murray Hose Co. No. 4 - Stephen Kalfas and Anthony Zurawski - were honored during the annual installation banquet held at the Kosciuszko Club.
Fifty years ago - 1962
A testimonial dinner honoring Commander Peter Ognibene and President Maxine Venn of the Chautauqua County Council of the VFW was held at the Gordon W. Scott Post 1395 in Fredonia.
