State police at Fredonia

On Saturday, troopers charged Joseph S. Maduri, 61, of Lake Shore Drive East for aggravated driving while intoxicated.

Troopers stated they stopped a car on State Route 20 in Pomfret because it traveled over the white fog line and it had an inadequate exhaust.

Maduri was processed at the state police barracks in Fredonia. His blood alcohol content was reported at .21 percent. He is scheduled to appear in the Town of Pomfret court on April 4.

On Saturday, troopers charged Christian F. Gerholdt, 19, of West Main Road, Fredonia, and Alexander M. Wahl, 19, of Webster Road, Brocton for possession of alcohol under the age of 21.

Troopers stated they observed a vehicle stopped on William Street East in the Town of Dunkirk. They reported finding the subjects in possession of six unopened beer containers.

Both were issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Dunkirk Court on March 26.

On Sunday, Fredonia troopers charged Michael D. Bobik, 22, of Dunkirk for driving while intoxicated.

Troopers reported that Bobik drove over the white dotted lines of the northbound lanes while traveling on Route 60 in the Town of Dunkirk. He reportedly failed several field sobriety tests.

Bobik was transported to the Fredonia barracks. His blood alcohol content was reported to be .13 percent. He was issued traffic tickets and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Dunkirk Court on April 9.

Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office

FRENCH CREEK - On Sunday, Lucas Cooper, 17, of Bush Road, French Creek was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and second-degree harassment.

Deputies responded to Marks Corners Road where Cooper was involved in a dispute. The parties involved agreed to leave and no charges were filed. A few minutes later, deputies responded to Bush Road where Cooper had allegedly punched another person in the face several times.

Cooper was taken into custody, arraigned and committed to the Chautauqua County Jail on bail.

SHERIDAN - Kevin M. Smith, 31, of Forestville was charged with driving while intoxicated, having a BAC of .08 or more and speeding on Saturday. Smith was stopped on Route 20 for speeding at 2:20 a.m. During the stop, it was found that Smith was intoxicated. He was released on appearance tickets for the Town of Sheridan Court.

Gowanda Police Department

On Thursday, Daryll M. Bernard, 17, of 212 Jamestown St., was charged with third-degree burglary, second-degree criminal mischief, third-degree criminal trespass as well as a curfew violation.

Bernard reportedly broke into a Gowanda business and damaged a safe during an attempt to gain entry to it. He also allegedly damaged electronic equipment in this business.

Bernard is currently on bail awaiting sentencing in Cattaraugus County Court for a previous burglary committed on Oct. 25, 2011.

Bernard was released on an appearance ticket to the Town of Persia Court.

Fredonia Police Department

James K. Harris, 22, of Brigham Road was charged with operating a motor vehicle with no registration and failure to stop at a stop sign on March 13. Police observed Harris not stop at a stop sign located at Liberty and Water Streets almost striking a patrol car. His registration was suspended due to unpaid parking tickets. He was released on $250 bail.

Jessica A. Green, 20, of Cherry Creek was charged with petit larceny on March 13. Green was observed taking $34.10 worth of merchandise from Walmart. She was released on an appearance ticket.

Jenna M. Corsi, 21, of Lincoln Avenue, Dunkirk was charged with petit larceny and unlawful possession of marijuana on March 14. She was observed taking $14.71 worth of merchandise from Walmart.

She was also found to be in possession of .1 gram of marijuana. She was released on an appearance ticket.

Francis B. Ibitoye, 23, of Water Street was charged with violating the noise ordinance on March 15. At 12 a.m. police were called to a residence on Water Street for a complaint of loud music. Ibitoye was released on an appearance ticket.

Issac P. Mallette-Lloyd, 26, of Cassadaga was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a BAC of .08 or more, driving while intoxicated, unlawful possession of marijuana and inadequate headlights on March 16.

At 12:51 a.m. police observed Mallette-Lloyd pass through a stop sign on Center Street. During the traffic stop, police observed Mallette-Lloyd with slurred speech and bloodshot eyes. He failed field sobriety tests administered. He was also found to be in possession of marijuana and two pipes.

He was transferred to Fredonia Police where his BAC was found to be .13. He was released on his own recognizance to appear back in court.

Joseph A. Rancka, 40, of Bennett Road, was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance on March 13. He was charged on a warrant by the Supreme Court of Chautauqua County. He is currently being held on unrelated charges as the Chautauqua County Jail. Dunkirk Police Department and Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force also helped with this case.

Allissa N. Leffler, 18, of South Dayton was charged with petit larceny on March 16. She was observed taking $50.26 worth of merchandise from Walmart. She was released on an appearance ticket.

Alex C. Deering, 23, of Webster Road was charged with operating a motor vehicle with a BAC of .08 or more, driving while intoxicated and third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle on March 17.

Deering was observed speeding and failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of West Main Street and Park Place. He was also observed crossing the fog line and the yellow double line many times. When pulled over, Deering had bloodshot eyes and slurred speech.

His license was suspended in June for failure to answer a summons. He was taken back to Fredonia Police where his BAC was found to be .19. He was released on $500 bail.
