Circle X League holds ‘Bowling for Breast Health’ event

March 21, 2012
OBSERVER Staff Report , The OBSERVER

Lucky Lanes was the place and the Brooks Memorial Hospital Women's Imaging Center was the beneficiary, as members of the Circle X Women's bowling league recently Bowled for Breast Health.

The bowlers decided to hit the lanes to benefit the Dunkirk hospital's Women's Imaging Center. Team members brought in beautiful gift baskets for a Chinese Raffle, held a 50/50 drawing and donated the evening's prize fund contributions to the cause, raising a total of $428 for Brooks.

"This is the second year we have held this event," league president Michele Bouquin said. "And we are very happy to be able to support our local facility. With its advanced digital mammography system, the Women's Imaging Center at Brooks provides a great service for local women, helping to detect breast cancer earlier and promoting more positive outcomes."
