Julie Daugherty and Yvan Bedard of Toronto, Ontario, announce their engagement. Daugherty is the daughter of Carol and Raymond Daugherty of Fredonia. Bedard is the son of Aline and Robert Bedard of Alexandria, Ontario.
The bride-to-be graduated from Brocton Central School in 1989. She graduated with honors from Fredonia State, studied expressive arts at Naropa University in Boulder, Colo., and is currently working as an executive assistant in Toronto.
The prospective groom was involved in his father's family business as a teenager. He graduated from Alexandria High School in 1984. He then began a career at Canadian Tire home office in Toronto, where he has worked for the past 20 years. His current role is as a project manager.
