BOCES open for Dunkirk students

While the Dunkirk City School District will be off for Spring Vacation from April 2 through April 13, BOCES will be in session April 2 through April 5. Transportation will be provided by the District for students who wish to attend. It is highly recommended that students attend.

The departure times will be at the normal scheduled times of: Morning bus departure at 8:55 a.m. and afternoon departure at 11:50 a.m. in the front parking lot of the Dunkirk High School. Students will not be permitted in the High School building.

Church to sponsor 1,000 Easter egg hunt today

Christ Community Church, located at 219 Berry St., Fredonia will hold a 1,000 Easter egg hunt today, March 31. Children throughout the community who are in fifth grade and under are welcome to come.

Before the Easter egg hunt, children will color bags to be used for the hunt, so bringing bags or baskets is not necessary. Children will be divided up by ages. A snack will also be provided.

The event begins at 10 a.m. rain or shine. There is no cost and all children are welcome. For more information call 673-1661.

Seabees to meet today in city

With rotating state meetings of the U.S. Navy Seabee Veterans of America, Island X-11 Chautauqua Region, will host the 1 p.m. today meeting at Dunkirk's VFW Post 1017 located at 11 Deer St.

All past or present Seabees are invited to attend. Membership information will be available along with other business items. More information is available by calling 665-5968.
