‘Trusted’ sense is important

April 3, 2012
The OBSERVER

Brocton Central School is doing what it can to educate residents regarding the upcoming budget and capital project, but something is missing: attendance.

Last week, the district held its second information meeting. No one from the public attended.

"That must mean that the public feels that the district can be trusted with the project," Superintendent John Hertlein said.

But district residents may be appearing more this month. A new budget is on the table - as is the beginning of possible merger discussions with Westfield.

A smart step for the board. We hope members continue to be "trusted" in future discussions.
