Out-of-service fire extinguisher discharged in school basement

ANGOLA?- Evans Police are investigating the discharge of an out-of-service fire extinguisher in a basement storage room at Lake Shore High School Wednesday evening.

Firefighters, emergency personnel and Erie County Haz-mat Officials responded to the school building and have completed a thorough investigation. The building has not been damaged and there are no residual smells or environmental impact as a result of this fire extinguisher discharge.

The building has reopened and classes will be held today in all of the District school buildings. Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to call the Evans Police Department.
