Church plans Women's Retreat
St. Joseph Church, 145 E. Main St., Fredonia, is planning a Women's Retreat, "God and Me, Taking Care of Business." This program will run from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 19, with registration starting at 8:45 a.m. It will include speakers, lunch and a variety of workshops, regarding decisions that are encountered every day. Among the topics to be discussed will be banking, car repair, dietary guidance, insurance and legal issues, to name a few. The cost is $15, and space is limited. Sunday sermon to focus on forgiveness
The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Northern Chautauqua announces that the Rev. Theresa Kime will speak on Sunday. Kime's sermon, "The Spiritual Practice of Forgiveness" will explore the spiritual practice of forgiveness and how it connects with the life of Jesus and his followers. All are welcome to attend the service.
During the service, childcare for those less than 5 years of age will be provided. No Religious Education classes will be held.
Worship services are held each Sunday at 11 a.m. in the Grange Hall, 58 W. Main St., Fredonia.
