Tarnowski’s absence especially felt today

April 9, 2012
The OBSERVER

Editor, OBSERVER:

Chester Tarnowski was a man that never uttered a curse word other than cheese and crackers. He was a religious man who believed in his community and served his community to the best of his ability.

Chester Tarnowski represents Dyngus Day more than any Polish person I have ever known having grown up in the Buffalo area. He was a beacon of the city of Dunkirk and the Polish population of Dunkirk.

ROGER RUCKMAN,

Fredonia
