Twenty years ago - 1992

Terra Trippi, daughter of Vincent and Susan Trippi of 4855 West Lake Road, Dunkirk won first prize at the Allegheny Mountain Science Fair at the JCC Campus in Olean. She represented the Dunkirk High School Science Club. The award includes an all-expense paid trip to the International Science Fair in Nashville, Tenn., in May for Tera and her advisor, Brent Wolford.

Thirty years ago - 1982

Everybody's favorite entertainer Danny Kaye visited Woodbury Vineyards Winery on South Roberts Road, town of Sheridan, on March 20, while in western New York to conduct the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra in a benefit performance. Mr. Kaye toured the winery and was the luncheon guest of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Woodbury and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Woodbury at the former's home.

Forty years ago - 1972

A $1.6 million housing project for off-campus students is being proposed for Fredonia by an Erie, Pa., developer. The 10-building complex would be constructed on Temple Street opposite the entrance to Fredonia State University College.

Fifty years ago - 1962

Alco Products Inc. announced today it will try to sell its custom engineered power and process equipment business, which includes all of the equipment at the Dunkirk plant.
