Travel League
Due to inclement weather, play was canceled on Wednesday, April 11. This coming Wednesday the league travels to Chautauqua Golf Club. Tee-off is scheduled for a 10 a.m. start.
Chautauqua Men's Senior Baseball League
The Chautauqua MSBL team managers are looking for players 25 years and older to start playing games on May 20. Contact any of the team managers to learn more.

NCCYHA Tryouts
The Northern Chautauqua County Youth Hockey Association (NCCYHA) will hold tryouts for the 2012-2013 season at the Jamestown Savings Bank Ice Arena.
Bantam tryouts will be held Tuesday, April 24, from 89 p.m. Bantam eligible players are those players born in 1998 or '99.
Pee Wee tryouts will be held Sunday, April 29, from 6-7 p.m. Pee Wee eligible players are those players born in 2001 or '01.
The tryout fee is $15. Players are encouraged to bring a light and dark numbered jersey with a nametag. Required NCCYHA travel forms are located on the league website at www.nccyha.com. Forms will be collected at the tryouts.
Players outside NCCYHA must present a release form and birth certificate. Contact Beth Mulkin at iceboys@netsync.net with questions.
Cassadaga Valley Youth Soccer
Cassadaga Valley Youth Soccer will hold signups April 17 at the Sinclairville Elementary from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., and 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on April 24 at the Cassadaga Valley Middle-High School.
All children ages 4 -14 are encouraged to play.

Hillview Golf Course
The NEW Thursday Morning Men's League will start April 19 at 9 a.m. The league is open to all players.
Anyone interested in playing should be at Hillview Golf Course by 9 a.m.

Vineyards Golf Ladies Purple Posse League
The Purple Posse League will have its kick-off lunch Wednesday, April 25, at noon at the Liberty Cafe, which is located at 21 Prospect St., in Fredonia.
Call Janet Guenther at 672-2282 to make your lunch reservation.
The league will start play on Wednesday, May 2. Tee-off will be at 10 a.m. You can join the league at any time during the summer. Keep checking the OBSERVER for information about the Purple Posse League.
Golf Meeting
There will be a golf trip meeting today at 7 p.m., at the Dunkirk Falcon Club, located on Benton Street. The meeting will be for all golfers going to Hubbard, Ohio to play in the Stahoo Penn-Ohio Tournament.
Full details and fees will be discussed. If you are unable able to make the meeting, contact Dennis Gawronski at 366-2083.
McDonald's
Senior Tour
The ninth edition of the McDonald's Senior Tour will open its season with a registration brunch to be held at the Lakewood Rod and Gun Club on Monday, April 16.
Registration will begin at 11 a.m.
Any senior golfer, 60 years or older, is eligible to join the tour. Participants will be asked to sign on as a regular or as an alternate when registering. Car pooling will be encouraged when ever possible.
A registration fee of $15 will be collected at the door and $7 for the brunch.
All golfers attending are asked to bring any golf balls, shoes or clubs they wish to donate to "Bunkers In Bagdad."
Dick Nelson and Randy Carlson will be there to accept the donations.

Third Annual DHS/FHS/CMHS Alumni Golf Tourney
The 3rd Annual Dunkirk/Fredonia/Mindszenty Alumni Golf Tournament will be held Aug. 10, at Shorewood Country Club.
Registration will be at 8 a.m., in front of the club house, with a group photo set for 8:30 and a shotgun start at 9.
Dunkirk Mayor Anthony Dolce, Fredonia Mayor Steve Keefe, former Shorewood CC golf pro Jack Shubert and current club pro Matt Clark will be on hand as the honorary starters for the event.
The four-man, best-ball format will include men's, women's and mixed teams. The cost is $75 per golfer and includes a cart, boxed lunch, beverages, dinner buffet and dessert. If anyone is interested in attending only the dinner, the cost is $25. There will be a cash bar beginning at 2 p.m., and dinner is scheduled for 3.
Following dinner, trophies for the winning teams, as well as door prizes will be handed out.
Checks should be made payable to Bill Bamonto, and mailed to 9124 Backdrop Drive, Perry Hall, MD 21128.
Anyone wishing to make a donation to the tournament can also send checks made payable to Bamonto at the above address. For donations, in the memo line of the check, donators should write, "DHS, CMHS, FHS Golf Benefit."
All donations will be made in memory of John M. Williams, Dunkirk Class of 1962 and will benefit a sports or educational organization serving the Dunkirk/Fredonia communities.
