Lorraine A. Barone, 71, of Dunkirk died peacefully Wednesday morning (April 18, 2012) at home.
She was born Aug. 28, 1940 in Dunkirk, the daughter of the late Raymond and Frances (Zatorski) Smith.
A lifelong Dunkirk resident, Mrs. Barone was a homemaker.

She was a member of Harvest Chapel Church in Fredonia.
Survivors include one daughter, Cindy Davis of Akron, Ohio; two sons, Gregory S. Barone of Sao Paulo, South America; and Anthony R. Barone of Jamestown; nine grandchildren, Thomas Pleszewski, Michael Pleszewski and Scott Pleszewski, all of Akron, Ohio; Anthony J. Barone of Maryland, Matthew Barone of New York City, Rudy Barone of South Carolina, Marley Barone, Nate Barone and Luca Barone, all of Jamestown; one sister, Arlene Budniewski of Dunkirk; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony "Nini" Barone.
A private family service will be held. Memorials may be made to Hospice Chautauqua, 20 W. Fairmount Ave., Lakewood, NY. 14750. Arrangements are by the McGraw-Kowal Funeral Home.
