Combined teams a victory for students

April 22, 2012
The OBSERVER

It is a small, but nevertheless important, step taken by the Brocton Central School board.

Putting students first, the board approved a shared agreement with Westfield Academy and Central School for the sports of both girls and boys varsity and junior varsity soccer. The amount of money for this program is not to be more than $5,735.

The students who take part in soccer will ride together on the bus that is already used for the shared football program.

Making certain the students continue to receive a high-level education is a priority. Keeping students healthy through football and soccer is important. The Westfield partnership deserves applause.
