The Gowanda Village Board will hold its regular meeting on Tuesday, April 24 at the Gowanda Fire Department on Aldrich Street. The meeting location has been changed due to the Presidential primary elections being held at Village Hall. The meeting time will remain the same at 7 p.m.
Farmland Protection Board meeting to be held
There will be a meeting of the Farmland Protection Board on Thursday, April 26, 2012 at 4 p.m., in Room 331 of the Gerace Office Building, Mayville to discuss the inclusion of property into Agriculture District 2, towns of Sheridan, Hanover, Dunkirk and Pomfret and villages of Forestville and Fredonia. The public is invited to attend.
Chautauqua County Soil and Water Conservation meeting
The Chautauqua County Soil and Water Conservation District will hold their director's regular meeting on Thursday, April 16 at 8:30 a.m. The meeting will be held at the Frank W. Bratt Ag Center, 3542 Turner Road, Jamestown.
Board of Health to meet Thursday
The Chautauqua County Board of Health will hold its meeting on April 26 at 6 p.m. in the HRC Building, 4th Floor Conference Room, Mayville.

Blood Drive in Fredonia Thursday
Community Blood Bank will hold a blood drive at First Presbyterian Church, 219 Central Ave. in Fredonia on April 26 from 3 to 6 p.m.
CBB is the only supplier of blood to Brooks Memorial Hospital.

Balloon Crew to host Walk MS event
The Balloon Crew Walk MS team and its sponsor, The Paper Factory, will host Walk The Plank For MS on Saturday, April 28, from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. It will be a fun-filled, pirate-themed event, with all funds raised going to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Participants can "walk the plank" or have their picture taken with Blackbeard. There will also be a Buccaneer Bake Sale, Swashbuckler Balloon Swords, a Davey Jones Locker Grab-Bag Sale, Landlubber Lunch, Jolly Roger Basket Raffle and more.
SCCS Budget Presentation
The formal presentation of the budget to the school district community will be held April 25 at 7 p.m. in the High School auditorium.
