Plenty partake in recycling

April 24, 2012
The OBSERVER

On the day before Earth Day, plenty of residents proved they were thinking green.

Thanks to the efforts of Fredonia State University as well as a number of volunteers, a campus and community household electronics recycling event was held. By all indications, it was a tremendous success - as many waiting with devices to be dropped off at the park-and-ride area were in a line that stretched along Ring Road.

Once all the minor issues were worked out, however, the line moved at a good pace. Some of the many items collected included old printers, computers, VCRs, and plenty of television sets.

Thanks to the volunteers at the event - and to all those who participated in dropping off the recyclable items.
