Vineyards Golf Ladies Purple Posse League
The Purple Posse League is set to hit those tee boxes on Wednesday, May 2 at 10 a.m.
This is a golf league with a twist not based on strokes, as it focuses on having fun as the only requirement.
Players are asked to report to the course at 9:30 a.m. There is always room for new players.
Valley T-ball signups
Signups will be held at the Sinclairville Elementary School today from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Signups can also be done by e-mailing Bob Reuther at email@example.com. Reuther requests that parents type the word "TBALL" in the subject. In the body of the e-mail should have the child's name, age, a contact name and number and what team is desired.
Children should be no younger than 5 and no older than 7 as of Dec. 31, 2011.
All games are on Friday night and the entry fee is $5 per child.
Entry fees must be paid by the first game.

Men's Slo Pitch
An organizational meeting for all teams interested in participating in the Dunkirk Recreation Men's Slo Pitch Softball League is scheduled for Thursday, May 3 at 6 p.m., in the Mayor's Second Floor Conference Room at City Hall.
Discussed will be league formats, fees, rules and rosters. All teams should be represented at this meeting.

Dunkirk Little League Spring cleanup
There will a work party Sunday, April 29, starting at 9 a.m., at the Little League Complex.
All managers, coaches and parents are asked to attend to help get the fields and surrounding area ready for the upcoming 2012 Season.
Rakes and weed trimmers are needed.

The Wednesday Night Ladies League at Cassadaga Country Club will begin its season with an optional scramble round, followed by an organizational meeting Wednesday. If weather does not allow for a round of golf, the meeting will be held at 7 p.m.
League play will start the following Wednesday, May 2. Any questions can be directed to Pat Kaus.
Cummins Run rescheduled
Cummins Inc., Jamestown Engine Plant, will sponsor its sixth annual 5K run/walk to benefit the Prendergast Library Literacy Center, but the event has been postponed from spring to fall.
Saturday, Sept. 29 is the date chosen to accommodate availability of timers.
The event has previously been held on the Saturday of Mother's Day weekend.
Green?Meadows Monday Morning Senior League
The Green Meadows' Monday morning Senior Men's league will start play April 30 and are looking for golfers interested in being a sub during the season.
It is an 18-hole match play league with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. Green fees are at the special Sr. League rate for either walkers or riders. Subs can play as often or little as they want. If interested, call Green Meadows at (814) 725-5009 by Saturday with your name and phone number.
