Announcement

CASA Charity Golf Tourney

Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Chautauqua County, Inc. is planning a new and unique twist for its annual golf tournament on Saturday, June 2. Golfers at this year's event will cover two courses in one day with simultaneous play at both Sugar Hill and Pinehurst Golf Courses in Westfield.

Located at 7060 E. Lake Road, Westfield, Sugar Hill Golf Course is the only course in New York State with play along the Lake Erie shoreline. The nine-hole, 2,547 yard, Par-35 course provides a fun and challenging golf experience.

Pinehurst Golf Course is located at 7428 E. Main Road, Westfield. The course has undergone a restoration process over the last three years under the new ownership of Nolan and Ryan Swanson. Pinehurst is a nine-hole golf course, offering 3,130 yards of play for a Par-36.

"A Voice Fore A Child" is a four-person scramble and includes a light lunch and picnic buffet and awards reception at Pinehurst Golf Course. Check in is 8 a.m. with tee off time at 9 a.m. Cost is $75 per player or $280 per foursome (includes carts). Players will play both courses, starting at one course and finishing at the other. Golfers will be assigned to the golf course where they will begin the day's play after registering for the tournament.

The tournament will feature several contests, including a Hole-in-One contest for a brand new car, generously sponsored by Farrell Chrysler Dodge Jeep in Fredonia.

All proceeds from the "Voice Fore A Child" tournament will benefit CASA's mission of providing trained volunteer advocates to serve as a voice in family court for abused and/or neglected children in an effort to secure them safe, permanent homes.

A limited number of sponsorships are still available for this event, including golf carts, individual holes and contest awards. Requests for further information or offers of sponsorship support should be directed to CASA Program Director Kathy Park at 753-4123.

To sign up to play, contact Greg Dipaolo at 326-4653, Nolan Swanson at 326-4424 or Kathy Park for a registration form.
