Virginia and Charles DeJonghe will celebrate their 66th wedding anniversary on May 11. They were married in 1946 in Detroit, Mich., by Father Ryan.
Mrs. DeJonghe is the daughter of the late Joseph and Marie Dengler. Mr. DeJonghe is the son of the late Maurice and Angela DeJonghe.
Bridal attendants included Bernice O'Connor, Jeanette Ameel and Helen Patrick. Groomsmen were Richard Van Belle and Robert Ameel. The bride's sister, Marilyn Molloy, served as flower girl.

Mr. DeJonghe is retired from SUNY Fredonia and is the owner of DeJonghe Plumbing and Heating. Mrs. DeJonghe is a supervisor at Mich Bell Telephone and is also a Fredonia school tax collector.
Mr. DeJonghe built their house in Van Buren Bay and the couple has lived there since 1950.
The couple have three children: Larry and Allan, both residents of Van Buren Point, and Dennis of Saratoga Springs. They have eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
