SILVER CREEK - Silver Creek Central School recently held its National Honor Society Induction ceremony. During this ceremony, James Klubek, high school principal, and Myra McAlevey, NHS president, addressed the inductees and current members.
Inductees also chose a faculty member to announce them in support of their induction to the Silver Creek Chapter of the National Honor Society. The students felt that this was a way to recognize the appreciation they have for the mentorship they have received from their teachers. Teachers who participated in the ceremony included Dina McDaneld, Janet Arnold, Kristy Randolph, Rachel Curtin, Daniel Tomasewski, Shannon Davis, Cheryl Smith, Christian Charles, Marcy Sweetman, Albert Vandette and Diane Swank.
Students who met the national criteria for acceptance were invited to apply for membership. A committee of teachers and administrators reviewed the applications and carefully selected the new members. Congratulations go out to all current members, inductees and their families.
