Talent shines at student art show

OBSERVER Staff Report Artistic high school students were able to share their talents while competing for top honors in the 2012 Urbscheit Student Exhibit at the Adams Art Gallery Friday evening. The awards ceremony took place at the gallery. Proud parents, student exhibitors, family and friends filled the gallery. All of the walls in the upstairs portion of the gallery were filled with an impressive array of art work done by area high school students. A wide variety of media were employed; acrylics, pastels, pen and ink, pencil, and photography, as well as mixed media, utilizing anything from buttons to duct tape. The awards were given as follows: First Place to Jody Van Keuren, Second Place to Andrew Mignoli, Third place to Jeremy Lesinowski. Honorable mentions were given to Lindsey Hopkins, Cheyenne Gifford and Emily Bukowski.
