Dylan Cassidy was a quadruple winner for Fredonia Tuesday, as the Hillbillies (2-1, 1-1) cruised past Gowanda (0-2, 0-2), 103-38, during CCAA Division 1 boys' track and field action.
"He did what he usually does for us - win races," Fredonia head coach Bob Ball said of Cassidy. "It's nothing we haven't come to expect from him."
Cassidy was first in the 110-meter high hurdles (16.6 seconds), the 400 hurdles (1:00.9), the 200 (23.3) and the high jump (5-feet, 4-inches).

Also providing solid performances for the Hillbillies were Josh Szukala, Max Payne and Matt Civilette, who all won two events.
"We did well considering the conditions," Ball said. "It's still a little bit on the cold side for the runners, so hopefully, when the warm weather comes, the times will go down."
Szukala was first in the 1,600 (4:57.6) and 3,200 (10:45.8), Payne took the top spot in the discus (99-9) and shot put (34-2), and Civilette took first in the long and triple jump events. Civilette jumped 18-3 in the long jump and 40-4 in the triple jump.
"That's the first time he's done that in the throwing events," Ball said of Payne. "And Josh (Szukala) has been pretty reliable for us in the distance events for us."
Taylor Nielson took first in the 800 for Gowanda in a time of 2:09.7 while the 4x100 and 4x400 relay teams also crossed the finish line first. Nick Marrocco, Justin Sowa, Jonas Aldana and Brennan Geiger were on the 4x100 team while Paul Balzer, Marrocco, Kevin Frederickson and Aldana made up the winning 4x400 team.
In the girls' meet, Fredonia downed Gowanda, 110-27.
The Lady Hillbillies (2-0) took first place in all of the field events and eight of 11 track events.
Leading the way was Courtney Styborski, taking first place in the discus (95-11) and shot put (26-0).

Also contributing to the victory with first-place finishes included Emily Valvo in the high jump (4-4), Nicole Woleban in the long jump (13-7), Devin Kowalewski in the triple jump (29-9) and Brigitte Boettcher in pole vault (8-0).
The Lady Hillbillies benefited from taking the 400-meter relay of Boettcher, Morgan Genovese, Emily Wan and Valvo (:57.5), the 1,600 relay of Wan, Ally Cobb, Valvo and Lauren Reyda (4:32) and sweeping the discus, long Jump and the 200. lso adding to the total were double winner Lauren Reyda (1500 and 800) and 3000 meter winner, Michaela Tramuta. The Lady Hillbillies are off to the Falconer Invitational on Friday.
Dunkirk boys prevail; Girls fall
ALLEGANY - Tyler Gajewski was a double winner as the Dunkirk Marauders handed Allegany-Limestone an 80-59 defeat Tuesday in CCAA Division 1 boys' high school track and field.
Gajewski took first pace in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of :16.5. He also leaped his way to victory in the pole vault as he soared 11-feet.
"It's fun to win," Dunkirk coach Kurt Warmbrodt said. "Allegany-Limestone gave it their best."
In the girls' meet, Dunkirk's Amanda Michalski's double-win effort Allegany-Limestone prevailed, 89-52.

T'Wolves take care of Black?Knights
SILVER CREEK - Phil Hansen was a first-place finisher for Silver Creek on Tuesday in the long jump, but it was not nearly enough, as the Black Knights fell to Cattaraugus-Little Valley, 103-38, in CCAA Division 2 boys' track and field action.
Hansen won the event with a jump of 17-feet, 9 1/2-inches while also finishing second in the high jump, triple jump and the 110-meter hurdles. David Barnes was first in the shot put following his toss of 36-9.
Also taking second place for the Black Knights (1-2) were James Feldman (100, 400 and 200), and Michael Elwell (400 hurdles and pole vault).
Meanwhile, in the girls' meet, Silver Creek fell, 82-79.
Emily Harford took first place in three events, including the 110 hurdles, 100 and pole vault. Harford finished the 110 hurdles in a time of 17.9 seconds, the 100 in a time of 14.1 and the pole vault with a height of 9-feet.
Also for the Black Knights, Kalee Dexter took first in the long jump (13-3), 200 (29.3) and high jump (4-2).
Other winners for Silver Creek included Hannah Seiders (1,500, 5:38.2) and Sarah Adams (triple jump, 27-0).
