"Wanderlust," the silly spring comedy starring Paul Rudd and Jennifer Aniston, is the next featured film at the 1891 Fredonia Opera House. It will be screened Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. as part of the Opera House Cinema Series.
In "Wanderlust," George (Rudd) and Linda (Aniston) are an overextended, stressed out Manhattan couple. After George is downsized out of his job, they find themselves with only one option: to move in with George's irritating brother in Atlanta. On the way there, George and Linda stumble upon Elysium, an idyllic community populated by colorful characters who embrace a different way of looking at things. Money? It can't buy happiness. Careers? Who needs them? Clothes? Only if you want them. Is Elysium the fresh start George and Linda need? Or will the change of perspective cause more problems than it solves?
Mick LaSalle, in the San Francisco Chronicle, calls the film "an assembly line producing laughs."

Carrie Rickey, in the Philadelphia Inquirer, calls it "an R-rated movie with a fair amount of nudity, a lot of sexual candor, truckloads of unspecified drugs, and more laughs than I've had at the movies in a very long time."
David Edelman, on NPR, says "it takes guts to do a comedy this big without gross-out slapstick, and the writers and the actors are all in."
Rated R for sexual content, graphic nudity, language and drug use, "Wanderlust" runs 98 minutes.
