Brocton's Board of Education is being pro-active. We hope the community will as well.
On Wednesday at 6 p.m., the district will hold a "town type meeting" to discuss the possibility of a formal consolidation study with Westfield Academy and Central School. As we have seen in the previous decades, countywide, any plans to consolidate governments or schools are very emotional. Brocton is taking the correct step before getting too deep into all the details.
If community members have opinions, they are invited to listen and comment on the very important topic regarding the future of its school.
The meeting will take place in the school auditorium.
