Explosion in Fredonia sends one to the hospital

A natural gas explosion around 7 p.m. Saturday at 379 W. Main St. in Fredonia sent a man to Brooks Memorial Hospital for minor burn injuries.

According to the Fredonia Fire Department, the incident did not result in a fire and the natural gas leak was unintentional. The building was undergoing renovation work at the time of the explosion and was not inhabited. There was no exterior damage visible to the building.
