Church plans Veterans Gala
ELLINGTON - The Baptist Church of Ellington, located at 530 Route 62, invites all to its third annual Veterans Gala. This is a chance to honor all area veterans, past and present. There will be several guest speakers, the Jubilee Puppeteers from the Stockton Community Church, music by The Sprague Family, something for the children and lots of food. Murray Hose Co. 4 to hold Memorial Day Mass Sunday
A Memorial Day Mass will be celebrated on Sunday. The Murray Hose Company No. 4 will meet at 8:30 a.m. at the Kosciuszko Club and then proceed to march to St. Hedwig's Church at 9 a.m. Breakfast and refreshments will follow at the Kosciuszko Club.
Guest speaker Sunday
LILY DALE - The Church of the Living Spirit will feature guest speaker Janet Nohavec at the Sunday worship service. The church meets at 10:30 a.m. in the Assembly Hall on Cleveland Avenue for healing, meditation and messages.

The Rev. Ron Skowronski, a minister with The Science of Mind Church and a popular area speaker, is the guest speaker for Universal Unity of Spirit's service on Sunday. His topic is "The Power of Reconciliation." Healing service begins at 1 p.m. and Skowronski's lesson is at 1:30 p.m., followed by the church's annual "Bring A Dish To Pass Picnic."
