Approximately 100 employees were in attendance at the recently held 25th Annual Brooks Memorial Hospital Employee Recognition Banquet.
The celebratory event was held at the Kosciuszko Club in Dunkirk and included a family-style dinner and awards ceremony. The highlight of the evening was the announcement of Lisa Kozlowski as the Brooks Memorial Hospital Employee of the Year for 2011.
Nutritional Services Cook Lisa Kozlowski was selected by her peers and honored for her dedication to work and willingness to go above and beyond to ensure delicious meals for patients, staff and visitors. Lisa also works behind the scenes in the community, utilizing her culinary and organizational skills to help others in need.

With almost 30 years at Brooks, Lisa has amassed a great deal of knowledge in food service operations and is renowned for her delicious breakfasts and soups. Lisa's friends, parents, sisters and nieces and nephews joined the Brooks Memorial Hospital staff in congratulating Lisa for her achievements.
Jonathan Lawrence, Chief Executive Office for the Lake Erie Regional Health System of New York (LERHSNY) welcomed the honorees to the banquet, speaking on the many exciting changes in healthcare. Brooks Memorial Hospital Chief Operating Officer Jarrod Johnson and BMH Vice President of Human Resources Joan VanDette led the awards ceremony recognizing the honorees.
Thirty-three employees were honored for perfect attendance in 2011, including three employees who have not missed a day of work in over 22 years. Sixty-eight employees were presented with awards for celebrating milestone services anniversaries in 2011 of from 5 to 45 years in 5 year increments. Brooks Memorial Hospital has a very experienced staff, with 71 employees having 30 or more years of dedicated service in the organization. Also honored were the Brooks Memorial Hospital Employees of the Month for the past 12 months.
Brooks Memorial Hospital is an affiliate of the LERHSNY and is located in Dunkirk.
