The cafeteria at the Fredonia Elementary School, while promoting the importance of healthy eating and exercise, recently served lunch a little differently to the elementary students. The lunch consisted of a chicken pattie on a bun, carrot sticks, grapes and milk. Instead of utilizing a typical lunch tray, the students’ lunches were served on orange and black frisbees. The frisbee was used in place of the lunch tray so the students could take it home and use it outside for exercise. This promotion in the elementary school was a huge success and the students loved their “trays.” Pictured are Owen Ludwig, Matthew Linder and Alex Paluch.
Tickets are $10 and include a commemorative wine glass. They are available from members of the board or by calling the offices of the Fredonia Chamber 679-1565 or the Dunkirk Chamber 366-6200.
